The 2013 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Fleur de Passion was picked in seven lieux-dits in Cramant and aged in oak with blocked malolactic fermentation before tirage. With 8 years on lees, autolysis shows as slightly toasted white bread, an overtone of caramel is the only notion that suggests evolution. The palate, however, has a beautifully serene and citric note of honey. The slender body is full of flavor, radiating freshness and honey-salted depth accentuated by really fine, creamy mousse. Lots of depth, lots of joy, and such immense, alluring and mouth-watering saltiness result in pure elegance. That sense of clean, salty, chalky depth lasts and lasts, ringing with umami. An exquisite wine from a cooler and later vintage. Dosage is 3gr/L. Disgorged: January, 2022. - Anne Krebiehl MW 11/2023

Enormous intensity to come from this a bit shy year. Sparkling intensity in both color, aroma and attack in the taste. High acidity, incredible lemon-sprinkled elasticity, but also overtones of mango, coconut and vanilla with a roasted barrel base reminiscent of large Meursault. As a gastronomic partner or hiking champagne in a warm place, perfect already at launch, but for enjoyment indoors in solitary majesty store ten more years for maximum depth. 11/2022
