The 2024 Baron de Brane is aromatic and brisk in its first impression. Strong floral and savory notes lead into a core of dark blue/purplish fruit. Lavender, spice, dried herbs and menthol open with a bit of time in the glass. In 2024, the Baron is gracious and inviting. Production will be down by about 50% because of selection, with many of the lots going into Margaux de Brane, the château's third wine. 04/2025

The 2024 Baron de Brane, an equal blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged in 15% new oak. It represents 20% of the production - half the usual amount. It has a straightforward nose, classic in style, pencil lead infusing the black fruit, just a touch of tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, crisp acidity, the Cabernet more expressive than the Merlot toward the graphite finish. This should be ready to go after 18-24 months in bottle. 04/2025

The 2024 Baron De Brane is equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from healthy yields of 46 hectoliters per hectare that will spend 12 months in just 15% new oak. This juicy, medium-bodied, vibrant second wine has pretty cherries, mulberries, spice, and floral notes in a balanced, very pretty style that's going to shine right out of the gate. It has terrific purity of fruit. 05/2025

Délicat à l'attaque, suave au développement, minutieux dans son déroulé, avec du charme, le vin fond en finale, délicat, délicieux et persistant. C'est très bon. Assemblage : 50 % cabernet sauvignon, 50 % merlot. Vin de presse : 15,5 %. Sélection : 20 % de la récolte. Degré d'alcool : 12°8 - pH : 3,52. Rendement : 46 hl/ha. 04/2025
