The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes from the small parcels owned by the Domaine. It has a very pure and enticing bouquet with vivacious red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, quite succulent and pliant in texture with hints of candied orange people interlaced on the finish. 11/2021

This is the last vineyard to be picked as the cool site of Les Porlottes, which is behind the village to the north, stays fresh. The small amount of grapes which they have from their tiny holdings in Baudes and Fuées are then added. Very rich heady purple and the nose too is super-ripe. Too much of a good thing? Flamboyant peonies and lush loganberries. Some acidity, more oak than I would expect adding cream to the rich summer pudding fruit. Tasted Nov 2021.
