(racked a week before my tasting) Medium red. Lively aromas of raspberry, minerals, flowers and menthol. Suave, sappy and juicy, with lovely sneaky flavor intensity to the deep red fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes quite dry and pure, with building, dusty tannins, firm mineral grip and lovely lingering perfume. 03/2008

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is beautiful, wafting from the glass with aromas of dark berries, orange zest, rose petals, spices and violets. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and pure, it's mineral and ethereal, with a succulent core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, concluding with a saline finish. As readers may remember, this is now a tiny cuvée, as out of de Vogüé's 0.56 hectares in this climat, almost 0.2 are in the process of replanting. 01/2025
