Vinified in oak for 12 months and another three or four months in stainless, steel the 2010 Chardonnay shows an intense citrus-yellow color and opens with an aromatic and concentrated bouquet of ripe fruits and sur lie notes. This is beautifully intense, ripe and perfectly balanced, with some tropical fruit aromas but also a flinty terroir note from the weathered slate soils. The palate is intense and textured, revealing ripe, lush fruit and a creamy texture with very fine tannins. The oak (Burgundian Damy pièces of which 50% are new) is perfectly integrated. This is a gorgeous Fläscher Chardonnay. Tasted November 2018. 11/2018
