Intense in its lemon color, the 2018 Chardonnay opens as clear, precise and detailed as the 2022, but it reveals an iodine complexity and concentration that is remarkable, especially for a warm vintage such as 2018. On the palate, this is a rich and complex, very long and multilayered Chardonnay with fine but also quite prominent tannins and fascinating saline acidity. This 2018 combines power and intensity with mineral freshness and a serious tannin structure that currently dominates the wine a little bit too much for my personal taste. Tasted at the domaine in March 2024. 03/2024

Enveloping nose of lemon curd, pomelo and Amalfi lemon with delicate touches of hazelnut and smoke. The kind of richness and concentration we associate with Grand Cru white Burgundies, but also their purity and vitality. Very long, complete finish with a lot of candied-citrus and wet-stone complexity. Drink or hold. 01/2022
