The 2025 Beauregard is quite promising, with plenty of substance and power. Dark-toned fruit, spice, new leather, mocha, chocolate and lavender open first. Bright acids and beams of supporting tannin convey energy and a good bit of structure. This is a superb, refined Beauregard with a bright future. 04/2026

The 2025 Beauregard was cropped at just 23 hl/ha between September 2 and 19, with 40% matured in new oak for a planned 16 to 18 months, 20% in 500-litre casks. It has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet, with pressed rose petals infusing the red berry fruit, just a hint of potpourri in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, nicely focused, but it needs a little more flesh and rondeur in the second half. A little peppery towards the finish, hopefully this will just fill out during its barrel maturation. I was expecting a bit more here. 05/2026

Ripe black cherries, chocolaty herbs, spice, and floral nuances all emerge from the 2025 Château Beauregard, a dense purple-hued Pomerol based on 70% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon that's being raised in a mix of new barriques and 500-liter barrels. On the palate, it's ripe, fleshy, and expansive, with medium to full-bodied richness, soft tannins, and beautiful length. It checks in at 13% alcohol with a healthy pH of 3.65. 05/2026
