The 2024 Beauséjour is a wine that perfectly embodies the style of the year. A Saint-Émilion with no hard edges and exquisite balance, Beauséjour is an absolute delight. Dark-toned fruit, lavender, menthol and espresso open first, followed by a kick of savory Franc overtones that lend energy. Fine, polished tannins support the subtle yet understated finish. Beauséjour is one of the more delicate 2024s in Saint-Émilion, but there is no lack of depth. The blend is 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, with 7% press wines. 04/2025

The 2024 Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse was picked from September 23 to October 7 at 28 hl/ha. It will age in 40% new oak for a planned 14 to 16 months. Significantly, this is the first vintage to be vinified in their new vat room equipped with smaller vats. It requires 10 to 15 minutes to open up, which allows the wild strawberry, blackcurrant, briar and light chalky aromas to emerge from the glass. This is not powerful, though certainly precise and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant and supple tannins. It is very balanced, with an edginess on the back palate and a deft hint of black pepper toward the finish. This feels longer than its peers. The 2024 is a succinct Saint-Émilion that attests to the numerous improvements in the vineyard and winery. 04/2025

A blend of 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Beauséjour (Duffau Lagarrosse) reveals aromas of rich blackberries, spices and plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and lively palate that's pure and bright, with attractive energy and transparency, concluding with a long, saline finish. Yields were a modest 28 hectoliters per hectare, harvested between 23 September and 7 October, and an unusually high percentage of press wine contributes additional mid-palate density. 04/2025

The 2024 Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) is 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc aging in 40% new oak, with the balance in once-used barrels. Black raspberries, classic limestone minerality, violets, and smoky tobacco all shine here, and it's a remarkably pure, medium, almost medium to full-bodied Saint-Émilion that has remarkable tannins, perfect balance, and a great finish. It's not going to make you forget the 2022, 2020, or 2019, but it's a gorgeous 2024 that I'd be happy to have in the cellar. 05/2025

Couleur rouge sombre, intense. Assemblage : 72 % merlot, 28 % cabernet franc. 7 % de vin de presse. Degré d'alcool : 13° naturel - pH : 3,36. Production : 10 000 bouteilles. 04/2025

Lots of energy, showing pure black cherries, dried violets and citrus character that follow through to a medium body with very integrated tannins that give length and verve. A blend of 72% merlot and 28% cabernet franc. 04/2025
