Antonio Galloni

Vinous

The 2024 Clos de l'Oratoire is a very beautiful Saint-Émilion. Dark, layered and vibrant, Clos de l'Oratoire has a lot to offer. The 2024 is a bit more on the refined side, a reflection of both the vintage and a stylistic shift that has been in place for a number of years. Lavender, spice, licorice and espresso weave into a core of blue-toned fruit. Silky tannins wrap it all up in this stylish Saint-Émilion. 04/2025

Vinous

The 2024 Clos de l'Oratoire was picked September 24 to October 8 at 40 hl/ha and matured in 25% new oak. It has a light bouquet with briar, cranberry pencil box aromas. This at least has more character and presence than the Clos Marsalette or d'Aiguilhe. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and delicate tannins, though it does attenuate toward the finish and leaves you wanting more. 04/2025

Yohan Castaing

Robert Parker/Wine Advocate

A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Clos de l'Oratoire reveals aromas of cassis, dark berries and spices intertwined with stemmy notes. Medium-bodied, firm and lively, it's framed by brittle tannins and an energetic finish. While not as dense as previous vintages, it retains a punchy personality that speaks well of the vintage’s freshness. 04/2025

Blackberries, darker cherries, sappy herbs, violets, and spicy wood notes all shine in the 2024 Clos De L'Oratoire, a medium-bodied, pure, focused, juicy Saint-Émilion that has a terrific sense of minerality on the finish. It plays in the medium-bodied, fresh style of the vintage yet is charming, balanced, and incredibly well made. 05/2025
