Vinous

Ruby-red. Exotic aromas of berry liqueur, coffee and mocha. Supple and lush but with harmonious acidity giving shape to the flavors of black raspberry and chocolate. A plush, seamless wine with nicely restrained sweetness. Finishes with substantial granular tannins. (My sample of the 2006 was tart and dry, and may not have been representative.) Mai 2007

Robert Parker/Wine Advocate

With a gorgeous nose of super-concentrated black cherry/kirsch liqueur, this wine offers notes of licorice, crushed rock and flowers followed by a full-bodied, powerful, rich finish with a boatload of tannin. This is a long-distance runner and a sensational effort in the vintage. Drink it over the next 25-30 years. Juni 2015
