The 2024 de Pez is seriously beautiful. Dark, powerful and deeply savory, the 2024 possesses gorgeous textural depth and resonance. Mocha, dried flowers, spice, cedar and tobacco are all dialed up in this wonderfully fleshy, sumptuous Saint-Estèphe. This is impeccably done. Tasted three times. 04/2025

The 2024 Château de Pez was cropped at 27 hl/ha and underwent a very light extraction. It has a straightforward, classically styled bouquet with blackberry, loam and light cedar scents that unfold nicely in the glass. This has fine delineation and prudent use of oak. The sample at the château was a little more floral than the first. The palate is medium-bodied and cohesive, with a keen line of acidity, fine tannins and a fresh, sapid finish. This will require a couple of years in bottle, but it is certainly a decent Haut-Médoc that should age well. 04/2025

A blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 de Pez exhibits notes of minty cassis, spices and toasty oak, followed by a medium-bodied, dense and somewhat robust palate underpinned by tangy acids. 04/2025

Coming from 42 hectares of vines in Saint-Estèphe, the 2024 Château De Pez is 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc that will spend 18 months in 50% new oak. Classic Saint-Estèphe darker, purple fruits, graphite, gravelly earth, and scorched earth all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with ample mid-palate depth, ripe, nicely integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It's impeccably made and has to be considered a clear success in this challenging vintage. The 2024 hit 12.9% alcohol, 3.6 pH, and 65 IPT. 05/2025

Assemblage : 69 % cabernet sauvignon, 24 % merlot, 2 % cabernet franc, 5 % petit verdot. Degré d'alcool : 12°9 - pH : 3,6. Rendement : 27 hl/ha. 13 % vin de presse. 04/2025

Quite fresh, showing lots of red cherries and berries with fine spices and minerals. Incisive on the palate, this has medium body and fine-grained tannins. Firm and structured but poised and pretty long. Good minerality. 69% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot, 5% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. 04/2025
