Antonio Galloni

Vinous

The 2024 Labégorce is laced with succulent dark cherry fruit, mocha, new leather, espresso and licorice. Copious new oak works well for this wine. Labégorce offers quite a bit of immediacy in a pliant, flamboyant style. 04/2025

Vinous

The 2024 Labégorce has a nicely poised bouquet with crushed violet-tinged black fruit. The oak is nicely integrated in this Labégorce, a little "fuller" than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. The 2024's fine backbone lends satisfying grip and weight, even if it doesn't quite have the complexity of the best recent vintages. It might well improve by the time of bottling. 04/2024

Beautiful purity emerges from 2024 Château Labégorce, a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Red and blue fruits, violets, leafy herbs, and spicy wood notes all flow to a medium-bodied, supple, textured wine with a layered mouthfeel and outstanding length. 05/2025

A perfumed and spicy nose, showing fresh herbs, blackcurrants, dark cherries and a touch of wet stones and white pepper. Juicy and bright on the palate with structured, fine-grained tannins and a solid finish of good length. This has some midterm potential. 04/2025
