The 2025 Larrivet Haut-Brion was picked 3 to 22 September and sees part of the crop aged in amphora. My sample showed a bit of dustiness on the nose that impeded the fruit profile. The palate is rounded and soft on the entry, but the oak seems to be singing from a different hymn sheet to the fruit. This is difficult to read at the moment and I will not assess it based on the sample received. 05/2026

Sporting a deep purple hue, the 2025 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion has classic aromatics of cassis, spring flowers, spicy wood, and graphite. Based on 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, and 22% Cabernet Franc, with the Cabernets raised in 50% new and once-used barrels and 5% of the Merlot aged in terracotta amphorae, I love its purity and vibrancy. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered mouthfeel, fine, polished tannins, and a great finish. I'd buy it. 05/2026

Couleur sombre, intense, noire et pourpre. Nez très aromatique, fruité, accompagné d'une touche de cuir mouillé, de mûres et de myrtilles. Délicat en entrée de bouche, très aromatique au milieu, avec un déroulé lent, un corps velouté et beaucoup de goût, le vin s'étire en finale, long et complexe. C'est délicieux, très parfumé, avec un grain fin. Bravo ! Assemblage : 55 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 23 % Merlot, 22 % Cabernet Franc. Degré d’alcool : 13° - pH : 3,54. 04/2026
