Vinous

The 2024 Latour à Pomerol is plush, fruity and very easy to like. A blast of dark cherry, plum, cedar, spice and tobacco makes a strong opening statement. Racy and forward, with terrific presence, Latour à Pomerol is terrific. It's a wine that perfectly captures what was possible in 2024, without trying to be too much. Commendable. 04/2025

The 2024 Latour à Pomerol was picked September 17 to 28 and aged in 50% new oak. It has what you might describe as a "sedate" bouquet that unfurls in the glass with blackberry and minty notes, perhaps just lacking some delineation and éclat (brightness). The palate is medium-bodied and a little oaky on the entry, but there is decent fruit concentration on the mid-palate and smoothness towards the finish. The question is whether there is sufficient fruit here to absorb the wood. Hopefully it will. The 2024 is just missing a bit of personality compared to others from the J-P Moueix stable. 04/2025

Robert Parker/Wine Advocate

Offering up aromas of dark berries, cherries, petals and violets, the 2024 Latour à Pomerol is medium to full-bodied, velvety and suave, with a layered, fleshy core of fruit, supple tannins and a pure, moderately persistent finish. 04/2025

An estate that seems to be on an upward trajectory, the 2024 Château Latour A Pomerol is all Merlot aging in 50% new French oak for 12-14 months. Ripe black cherries, darker currants, smoky oak, graphite, and leafy herb notes all shine here. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and outstanding length. It's a solid, forward, charming, straight-up seductive Pomerol that will offer pleasure right out of the gate. 05/2025

Couleur rouge grenat, intense. Nez moyennement aromatique, fruité et floral. Bouche un brin plus austère qu'attendue, mais le goût est là et il revient dans la persistance. Longueur normale. L'élevage pourrait l'embellir.100 % merlot. 04/2025

A firm, somewhat lean red with dark-berry, crushed-stone and dark-plum character. Medium-bodied, this has slightly austere tannins and a medium finish. Pure merlot. 04/2025
