Vinous

Saturated medium ruby. Blackberry and bitter chocolate on the nose. Juicy, spicy and tight; still youthfully austere in the middle. Rather linear today, but nicely balanced and not hard. The dense black fruit and violet flavors saturate the palate on the persistent, juicy, firmly tannic finish. Mai 2006

This well-known estate is now owned by Clos Fourtet’s Philippe Cuvelier, but the estate was owned by Jean Theil when the 2005 was conceived. This 2005 reveals a beautiful black cherry and cassis-scented nose, with a touch of spring flowers, medium to full body, and supple tannin in a sexy, lush, heady style. A sleeper of the vintage, it is already approachable and satisfying, and can be drunk over the next 10-15 years. Juni 2015

Intense aromas of orange peel, blackberries and hints of mushrooms. Full body, with a solid core of soft and velvety tannins and a fruity finish. Well structured. One of the best wines from here in years. Try after 2017.Intense aromas of orange peel, blackberries and hints of mushrooms.
