The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe Aux Moines 1er Cru has one of the finest aromatics from Fourrier, offering mineral-soaked black and red fruit armed with laser-like focus. The clean, precise palate is very well balanced with fine tannins and a superb line of acidity. The disarmingly silky finish shows a surfeit of freshness. Superb! 11/2019

Medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy, with an elegantly muscular underpinning of powdery tannin, it will merit a bit of patience. 01/2021

The vines are located in a sort of amphitheatre, a great place to work. Lovely fresh mid-purple. This has a gourmand quality, sweet dark cherry fruit with some tannins behind. Balanced and with a tighter structure behind suggesting there is more to come. Tasted Nov 2019.
