Warmth reflects off the stone walls of the quarry. The vines were planted in 1928. Fine crimson purple, with a very clean fruit bouquet after a couple of reductive wines. This has some of the minerality of Cazetiers allied to the domaine’s supple fruit, with excellent length. Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted Dec 2022.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Combe Aux Moines is deeper pitched, unwinding to reveal aromas of dark berries and plumes mingled with forest floor, spices and peony. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's supple and concentrated, with powdery tannins and a saline finish. 01/2023
