The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a light but open and transparent bouquet with red cherries and wild strawberry fruit, just a hint of graphite in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy redcurrant and cranberry, a little edgy, a facet that I appreciate since it lends this Gevrey energy and tension. There is a ferrous tincture on the aftertaste. Well worth seeking out. 12/2016
