Vinous

The 1992 Shiraz is the product of a long, dry and cool summer in Eden Valley, which has crafted an elegant and reserved Hill of Grace style. It opens with an array of fleshy fruit pastilles and blackberry aromas before meat stock and wintergreens emerge. The wine has a real freshness and brightness, with a firm acidic line. Vigorous tannins provide ample structure that is just beginning to overshadow the fruit. Best to enjoy over the next couple of years, although it will cellar for considerably longer. 04/2023

Robert Parker/Wine Advocate

Deep garnet-brick colored, the 1992 Hill of Grace exudes aromas of dried mulberries, blackberry preserves, iron ore, menthol and lavender. Well-structured with medium-firm chewy tannins, crisp acid and muscular fruit, it has a long and earthy finish. It is mature and holding strong. 04/2013
