Dark red. Very pure but subdued aromas of black raspberry, bitter chocolate and minerals. Suave and wonderfully precise on the palate, conveying lovely inner-mouth rose petal lift to the flavors of raspberry and crushed-stone minerality. Totally different in style from the Clos Vougeot and Echézeaux and a step up in precision, finesse and sophistication. The very long, rising, saline finish perks up the taste buds. My projected score may prove to be overly conservative. 12/2015
