The 2024 Les Pagodes de Cos is terrific. Medium in body and vibrant, the 2024 is impeccable. Blackberry, spice, leather, menthol and chocolate open gradually. A wine of balance and harmony, the 2024 is super-elegant. I find the less bombastic style here vis-à-vis the past quite interesting. 04/2025

The 2024 Les Pagodes de Cos matured in around 12% new oak. It has quite a rich bouquet for the vintage with black cherry, hints of cassis and black olive, the latter only emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied and a little spicier than expected, with chalky tannins and a compact finish. This will need two or three years in bottle. 04/2025

Robert Parker/Wine Advocate

The 2024 Les Pagodes de Cos wafts from the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice and nicely integrated oak. Medium to full-bodied, polished and suave, it's impressively rich and layered for the vintage, with beautifully integrated tannins and acidity. 04/2025

The 2024 Pagodes De Cos is also inky hued, with a firmer, more foursquare style. Darker currants, cassis, graphite, and earthy, chalky minerality all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, with solid concentration and building, firmer tannins. It's good, but it's clearly a second wine in 2024. The blend is 50% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, resting in 20% new barrels and hitting 12.71% alcohol with a pH of 3.52 and an IPT of 65. 05/2025

This is a racy Pagodes with beautiful fruit and tannins that leave a nice, persistent finish. Medium to full body. Savory finish. Tight and clean. 04/2025
