The 2013 Pinot Noir is dark in its ruby garnet color. Due to coulure, the yield was reduced by 70% to 75%, and the berries were smaller than peas. The mash was never punched down, but there were two délestages during the 14-day cuvaison. Deep, ripe and intense on the spicy-peppery, refreshing and concentrated nose, this is a pure, fresh and tightly woven but crystalline and concentrated Pinot with a long, pure, tightly structured and even slightly salty finish. A fascinating 2013. Tasted in Fläsch, November 2018. 11/2018
