The dark ruby-colored 2020 Malanser Pinot Noir offers an intense and generously fruity bouquet with super ripe and well-concentrated cherry and berry aromas intermingled with delicate schistous notes of the soils in Malans. Fresh and saline on the palate, this is a voluptuous yet very elegant and refined Pinot from a very warm year. The wine is full-bodied and rich, very juicy and intense and develops a long, mouth-filling and sustainable finish with fine tannins, stimulating astringency and characteristic mineral freshness from Malans. This is a generous but harmonious and very elegant Pinot with ripe and silky tannins and delicate, crystalline acidity. After 2015 and 2018, the 2020 is another top vintage for Thomas Studach. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Zurich, February 2023. 02/2023
