The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru is laced with orange peel, burnt sugar, tropical fruit and a kiss of oak toast. It offers plenty of immediacy and the charm to match. Time in the glass brings out the wine’s salinity and overall tension, qualities that are nearly buried at the outset. 02/2025

A lemon colour. This is more on the stones than a heavyweight on the nose. On the palate there is a wealth of ripe citrus, with the start of some yellow peaches, but the stones definitely dominate. Slightly two-speed at the moment, but should pull together by the end of its elevage. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Oct 2024.
