The 2024 Riesling Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle is still shy on the nose. The site was frosted, so this was made in minimal quantities. Only with more air does a touch of fresh fern appear. The palate is exquisitely concentrated, showing its ripe zestiness and purity. Its freshness is buffered and the mouthfeel is fine, slender and superbly clean-cut. (Bone-dry) 06/2025

The 2024 Hermannshöhle GG Niederhäuser Riesling begins with a wonderfully delicate nose of ripe but refined fruit and notes of weathered rock with subtle slate tones. Dense, tightly knit and powerful on the palate, this is undoubtedly a complex Riesling but still somewhat undeveloped, as the Hermannshöhle is always a late bloomer. The finish is complex and long-lasting but currently still a little sharp due to the sulfur dose. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden, August 2025. 11/2025
